BGAN terminals may connect anywhere on the globe except for the poles. If you are within one of the three colored regions, you may connect at broadband speeds, as well as make and receive phone calls from anywhere. more |

With a BGAN (Broadband Global Area Network)... if you can see the sky, you can connect at broadband speeds. There are no "dead zones" as with cellular systems, and there will be no service outages when entering a local disaster. Anyone can point a BGAN terminal toward a
satellite and be on the Internet at broadband
speeds. Connect one or more computers to a BGAN terminal via wi-fi, or with a standard Ethernet cable.
Also connect a standard phone and make and receive calls from anyone. These systems are capable of traveling and working in any country
with reliable broadband Internet.
In
addition to broadband Internet, all terminals may be used for excellent voice calling. A telephone number is assigned to each terminal for making or receiving calls from anywhere. You can even be on the phone and Internet simultaneously. BGAN terminals do not require an external power source to operate up to 36 hours per charged battery. These systems are field proven and have been invaluable communications tools to thousands of organizations worldwide.

The BGAN Launchpad program installed on a laptop helps you point the BGAN toward any of the three Inmarsat I-4 geostationary satellites. With practice, you can point a system and be online in about 2-3 minutes.
For BGAN terminals that do not have integrated wireless, simply add a wireless access point to the BGAN LAN port. The Hughes 9202 has recently been released with integrated wireless. |
